I had the opportunity to participate in an educational webinar last evening. This presentation was created by the National Education Association and various Oklahoma education organizations. Representatives from the local education association, ASCD, the Oklahoma Department of Education, a local school board, and school administration discussed how school districts in Oklahoma were developing a culture of collaboration which was needed for enacting ESSA…Every Student Succeeds Act.
I received permission to provide the link to the informative webinar. I was impressed to hear how one state is enabling teachers, administrators, school board members, and department of education representatives to collaborate so as to improve public education for all students. Oklahoma is one ESSA model to be researched by others in public education.
The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) also played a role in the presentation. Be sure to check out the link which shows a comparison chart for No Child Left Behind and Every Student Succeeds Act.
