Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22, 2016 and will mark its 46th year of existence. I always enjoyed this day while teaching. I was proud of the many families and community members who participated in events linked with this special day in April.
The Earth Day organization is counting down to the 50th year in 2020. They have set a goal for everyone…that being to plant more than 7 billion trees. What an incredible goal…
Schools everywhere will be involved with events linked with Earth Day. Students and their families will hopefully work together to inspire their local communities to preserve the environment. Be sure to check out the links to go…
One great idea for families…create an Earth Year jar. Write down 12 ideas for preserving the outdoor neighborhood and local community environments. You might focus on your own personal environment. Strive to complete each goal each month. Then…on April 22, 2017…check the jar to see if you were able to reach each earth goal that was created.
